Eitan's Layups

Eitan, Luke, Max, Ian, and I would love to play basketball in the summertime. We would usually end up at Dana park in Cambridgeport, or one of the other local courts nearby.

We were all good at different things: Max could nail a killer outside jumper, Ian had a way of making the most impossible shots go in, Luke was very tall and had a nice shot, and I could dribble pretty well. But Eitan had something special, he had his lay up.

Eitan's layup was akin to a bulldozer. He'd pick up speed from the top of the court, crouch down low, and fly through the air knee first towards the basket. Sometimes they would go in, sometimes they would miss, but one thing was for sure; EVERYONE got out of the way.
