When I started working with the students at Terrascope Youth Radio, I don't know what I was expecting. I think it was somewhere between bland sciency pieces (the sort I, in retrospect, was producing) or unimpressive fluffy pieces. Eitan quickly showed me that neither expectation was even close to the mark. His creativity, understanding, and talent was immediately evident as he continually produced pieces that were quirky, fun and very informative. Every time I sat down to talk to him, I became excited about the great idea and plan he had for the piece; I think the feedback I gave most often was "that sounds awesome," or "I'm excited to hear what it sounds like!" or "seems like you've got this under control." His passion and ability to think outside of the box and make his crazy, awesome ideas come to life truly inspired me; I cannot count how many times I bragged about his pieces to others with the phrase "you have to hear this... these high school students produce amazing work!"
I know I only knew a tiny slice of Eitan, but I feel so privileged to have worked with him. I will always be impressed by his enthusiasm and vivacity.
